Purpose of this blog

“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out, and loudly proclaiming: WOW, WHAT A RIDE!!”(Picture from my hike through Maui)

After I established this blog (I used to keep one in the past), I wondered what I was going to do with it.  I decided it would serve a number of purposes.  In order for you to read what it you might want from this blog, you can tap on the various tags or categories available on this blog.  As an example, I study demonology and exorcisms.  I am researching this topic for my Ph.D. work.  So, as an example, you can tap on my “Angelology” tag or category in order to see all my notes pertaining to that particular subject.  You have an opportunity to comment on my posts.  I will need to approve the comments simply because I get spammed a lot.

The mass head picture for the overall blog was when I went winter camping in the deep woods, under the stars in Northern Wisconsin (or the U.P., not sure).  I have done a lot adventurous things in my life, lived in a variety of different places and environments, but I do all these things to learn about this life before a gracious God in Christ Jesus.  Since I was very young, I have always been a very contemplative person about life. So contemplative, since I was very young to about before high school, I had sort of a lab in my basement where I had ecosystems set up.  I have done a lot of things in life, some have called me a sort of “renaissance man,” and others, well, we shall just leave it at that.

I will also open this blog to other writers as well.  They may be writing under a “writer’s alias” or a pen name but thought it would be nice to read articles from other people who are at different times in their life or have similar but different opinions on things.  I may or may not agree with what they write but something thought provoking is always welcomed since it is a blog of Christian contemplation!

Also, for those who know me might know that my alias is Hans Foehn (Hans Föhn) or “Curate.”  The first name given to me when I was a student in Germany and the second, well, it came about because of Facebook.  The first is my profile name associated with this blog.  I am now known as Curate to many.
